Albarrán Cabrera: Origin Stories
Past exhibition
Overview
"There are many of them and often they begin in darkness."
A project room exhibition of monochromatic works by the artist-duo Albarrán Cabrera that reference various creation myths or the artist's own philosophical investigations into the origins of light, matter, and time. The artists implement various printmaking methods using noble metals including platinum, palladium and gold connecting the installation to the gallery's concurrent exhibition "A Legacy of Light" showcasing the orotones and copper plates of Edward S. Curtis.
