Marshall Gallery is delighted to be participating in the 21st edition of the UNTITLED Art Fair in Miami Beach.

The Gallery will exhibit an installation curated to highlight contemporary intersections of photography and painting where each medium bears evidence of the other's influence. Five artists are included with a primary focus on the Gallery's Latin American / Spanish artists who are joined by American artist Chris McCaw.

Artists exhibited at UNTITLED Miami Beach 2024:

Albarrán Cabrera (Artist-duo, both b. 1969, Spain) - Artist Page
Chris McCaw (b. 1971, U.S.A.) - Artist Page
Fabiola Menchelli (b. 1983, Mexico) - Artist Page
Natalia Sánchez (b. 1992, Puerto Rico) - Artist Page
Rodrigo Valenzuela (b. 1982, Chile) - Artist Page

Notable works include new large-scale, “sunburned” works by Chris McCaw (USA, b. 1971) bearing physical scars of the sun’s path over the Mojave Desert. The minimalist slices through his paper surface made in camera echo those of Lucio Fontana’s canvas works, though McCaw’s are created organically by the lens of his enormous, custom-built cameras. New geometric photo-works on canvas from Rodrigo Valenzuela’s (Chile, b. 1982) series “New Land” hint at possible future structures through acrylic planes of varying opacity over Death Valley landscapes.

Bold uses of color and architectonic forms will round out the presentation including new, abstract Heliogravure prints by Fabiola Menchelli (Mexico, b. 1984) and prismatic abstractions of polarized light by Albarrán Cabrera (artist-duo, Spain, both b. 1969). The vibrant and gestural paintings of Natalia Sánchez (Puerto Rico, b. 1992) are adapted from her field photographs of abandoned tropical modernist homes commenting on Puerto Rico’s complicated colonial legacy and the influence of climate change and economic shifts.
